Westside Tire survived the seasonal rush

By Dana T. — Owner, Westside Tire

Tire shops live and die by the seasonal swings. When the first cold snap hits, the phone doesn't stop — and every minute a caller spends on hold is a minute they're deciding to try somewhere else. Last fall we decided we weren't going to lose those calls again.

The crunch

During a swap rush we'd have three customers in the lobby, two bays mid-job, and a phone ringing off the hook. You physically cannot do all of it. People would wait on hold, give up, and book their winter tires at the shop that picked up on the first ring.

Nobody sits on hold anymore. The phone gets answered, the install gets booked, and my guys can stay on the cars.

What it did for the slow months too

The rush was the reason we signed up, but the surprise was the off-season. The same system that answers during the crunch also runs reminders and win-back outreach when things are quiet — booking alignments, rotations, and seasonal swaps that used to slip through. The schedule is fuller on both sides of the rush now, not just during it.
